Our Program Teachers
Paula Francette Kefover Alessi is bilingual, having been raised in America in a French-speaking household. After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Medieval History and French, Paula Francette worked in academic textbook publishing for twenty-five years, finishing her tenure at Pearson Education as the Marketing Manager for Pearson Education’s French Language Publishing Program. Paula Francette joined the McGraw-Hill Companies as the Director of Government Accounts and after nine wonderful years with McGraw-Hill Education, transitioned to a career managing a real estate portfolio in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. Paula Francette teaches French privately and is a member of the Alliance Française and the American Association of Teachers of French. Paula Francette has been married for 28 years, has five children and has traveled internationally for many years with her family as well as for business. She has been involved in foreign language education on both a professional and personal level for decades.
Bonita (Bonnie) Bleiler graduated from Penn State University with a BS in elementary education and from Cedar Crest College with a master of education degree. She taught in the Parkland School District. She is a mom to three children who each graduated from their homeschool program. In 2007, she earned graduate credits in the teaching of writing and became a National Writing Project Fellow. Bonnie has taught writing in several homeschool co-ops, in a Christian school, and in private writing classes. She has worked at Penn State Lehigh Valley as coordinator of the summer youth camp program. Bonnie and her husband Richard, a full-time farmer, grow hay, corn, soybeans, and Christmas trees in northwestern Lehigh County.
Melissa holds a BA in History from Eastern University and has done extensive graduate studies in Political Science at Villanova University. Melissa has taught various history/literature and civics classes to homeschoolers for the past ten years. Teaching from a Christian perspective, her goals are to encourage students to think critically about the subject matter and to come away with a sense of appreciation and pride for the rich heritage they been granted. Melissa resides in Warminster with her husband, Jim, and together they worship at Covenant Church in Doylestown. She has one daughter, who is a homeschool graduate, and is now married and in the workforce.
Janet Dudek graduated from Wheaton College (IL) with a BS in Chemistry and secondary teaching certification in chemistry, physics, and physical science. After student teaching, she spent a year in California, teaching physical science and astronomy classes to elementary and middle school students at AstroCamp School Programs. Returning to the East Coast, she taught all levels of science classes for several years at Aleithia Learning Center, a homeschool co-op in Spring City, PA. When she and her husband moved to their present home, she began teaching high school science at Salem Christian School in Macungie, PA. There she taught biology, physics, chemistry and physical science for four years. After adopting their first child, Janet left classroom teaching, but privately tutored several homeschoolers in biology, physics, chemistry, AP chemistry, and physical science over the next few years. Recently, Janet has been teaching honors chemistry and honors physics to a small group of homeschoolers in her home. She and her husband have two daughters, one who is homeschooled and the other who is in cyber school.
Jennifer & her husband Mark are British born and lived on Long Island, N.Y. before moving to PA 10 years ago. Attending the ART STUDENTS LEAGUE and earning an AFA in Fashion Design at the Fashion Institute of Technology, her sketches were chosen for the set design of “Kramer vs. Kramer” w Meryl Streep. She was hired immediately as head designer for a Licensing co. starting a new designer division from the ground up. She earned her company the “Tommy Award” 3 years running, the industries prestigious Print Design Award. She taught at Parson’s University & worked in multiple area’s of design, sourcing here & throughout Europe. She is a professional expert in: Fashion Design, Patternmaking, Printing design, Commercial Fabric Design, Color, Computer Design & Product Development and has worked in N.Y. for 24 yrs.as the designer behind many name brand designers; Carol Little, Oscar De La Renta & many others. Jennifer is also a Private Pilot training out of Farmingdale, New York. and a breast cancer survivor.
“Once we had our children, I home schooled to build strong faith & back bone in my children in the Sept. of 9-11-01 which we witnessed first hand. I became convicted more than ever, we desperately need Christian professionals in every area of life. Home schooling is the ideal avenue to raise Christ centered balanced kids up to be strong examples of excellence in every area of life. I now love working with other students to point them to Christ in every area of life. We currently attend Fairview Village Church in Fairview Village, PA. where I facilitate Beth Moore, Women’s Bible Study groups and seek avenues to share our faith.” 1 Cor 2:9
Amy has a BS in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Chestnut Hill College. She has had a wide variety of teaching experiences in both public and private schools. In addition to working as a classroom teacher, she taught reading and literature study, as well as middle school algebra. She also spent several years teaching homeschool students at the Master’s Academy of Fine Arts. Amy and her husband Jim live in Perkiomenville. She has been homeschooling their three children for the past ten years.
Catherine Worner was born in Uruguay and raised in the United States by Uruguayan and Argentine parents. She was raised in a bilingual home. Catherine holds a BA in Spanish and a K-12 teaching certificate from the state of Pennsylvania from Cedar Crest College. Her first year following graduation she worked in Central Bucks followed by two years in the New Hope Solebury School District as a middle school and high school Spanish teacher. Upon having her first child, she resigned. She has taught business Spanish in the private sector as well as small group Spanish classes for young children at the Milford Square Music Studio. Catherine has been married since 1997 to her high school sweetheart and has 6 children.
Mary Ruth Ziegler
Mary Ruth graduated from Wheaton College with a BS in Biology and from the University of Illinois with a BSN in Nursing. She has had all sciences at the college freshman level as well as many biology/anatomy courses. Mary Ruth has taught these classes for over 20 years and enjoys teaching and challenging students. Mary Ruth is married to her college sweetheart, Randall S. Ziegler. They have 5 children, the youngest of which is 26, and 7 grandchildren. Four of those grandchildren are now being homeschooled. Mary Ruth continues to work as a nurse and instructor at Ridgecrest Pediatrics.
